(More customer reviews)Attractive and substantial in your hand. Molded of a synthetic wood, the beveled seams were fitted well and appeared painted over so there were no sharp edges to the cuts. Could be a heavy paint or a plasticized surface.
Backing is a floss covered cardboard with easel stand. I removed the flip out stand so that the bottom of the frame would hang flat on the wall.
Overall a nice attractive frame that should last for quite a few years.
