(More customer reviews)I purchased this in 8x10 and it was exactly what I needed. The frame itself is matte black wood, and looks quite classy, plus arrived in perfect shape, and has not scratched or worn since. The border is .5" across and juts out about 1/16", so while not a totally minimal look, it is not chunky, either. The total size of the unit is 8 5/8 x 10 5/8.
Note that the viewable space is 7.5x9.5 (the frame cuts in about .5"), so if you need all of your image to be visible, this would not be for you. But for me, this was fine (after all, that's only losing 1/4" on every side), and has been a great purchase. Will buy again if I require this size.
