(More customer reviews)Bought a couple of these. They look pretty nice and I have no major complaints, just some minor quibbles. First, I would not call them "solid wood". They are made of MDF, which is a wood product, but I do not consider that to be "solid wood." Second, one of corners on one of the frames was bulged where the "wood" had been tacked together, a common problem with MDF. Third, they are covered with a plastic coating (similar to melamine), so there is no chance that any of the wood texture will show through (which of course it wouldn't anyway with the MDF). But the mat and glass are nice, and they were boxed up extremely well! So now that they are hanging up you can't really see the bulge and they look fine, they just fall a little short of the over-exuberant description.
