With the extra mat size, an 8.5 x 11 picture appears much larger, and grander. The frame design is a simple black rectangle that is made of composite black wood with matte finish, and uses glass not cheap plastic. The frame is much more substantial than inexpensive frames you'll find at chain stores. The only knock on the product is the inexpensive hooks that come with the frames, but that's a a small concession.
ArtToFrames offers many frame widths as well as sizes on this site, so be sure to measure (twice!) correctly. The product is packed well and shipped quickly. At roughly ten dollars this product is a steal.
